Can't start or update app on macOS Sonoma

Hello everyone! i’m new to this platform but i’m having issues starting and updating the app on MacOS Sonoma (M2 chip MacBook Pro).

I’ve run a tail -f on the log and i’m seeing a bunch of these:

Patcher: "data\bikes\Wheels\Zipp\Zipp353\Zipp353Front.gde" server file missing locally -- adding to missing files list.

it also crashes if i hit update later and try to start the game (presumably because i am missing a bunch of files?)

Can someone help please?

Hi @Marcus_Kyril_Lim

Shuji at Zwift HQ here. Welcome to Zwift forums.

You strike me as a tech-capable sort - do you have any advanced setups on this Mac, like running a VPN? This article has a list of issues known to interfere with proper installation. Would you read through those to see if any of them apply to you?

Before you try a re-install, you may want to do a thorough deletion of all the Zwift-related files already on that disk. This other article will walk you through the steps.

Would you let us know if those things solve the installation issues for you?

Hello @shooj, thank you for such a swift response.

  • I’ve turned off OneDrive syncing
  • My VPN is currently off
  • Zwift has full access to all my hard disk
  • I’ve also tried reinstalling after a clean un-install

Unfortunately, none of these work. :frowning:

Any further joy here? I’m in same boat.

I’m new to Zwift and just bought a brand new Zwift Ride bike. I have this exact same issue so now I just have a $1200 piece of furniture :disappointed:.

I’ve tried the clean install procedure, but no success.

The launcher log show alot of entries with “server file missing locally – adding to missing files list.”
