Calibration Value

I always see that manufacturers recommend to calibrate before every ride but why? Does it get off that much? What exactly does it do?

Could you do two things:

  1. Add some details in the app/calibration screen explaining benefits, reasons, etc.
  2. Show what the calibration setting was before an after the most recent calibration run. That way, users can determine if they are just wasting their time or maybe more important, if their trainer may be wearing down?

Thanks!

i’am doing a calibration once a month. and always with the trainer producer app (wahoo, elite, tacx) never with zwift. i’am happy with that after 3 years and 2 trainers. if you have a wheel-on trainer, you have to do an calibration after inflate your tire.
