Yeah I’ve just gone back to running it on my laptop ![]()
I have the same issue on my S24, screenshots will be saved black local on the device nevertheless…
Wow, so this issue hasn’t been resolved in YEARS it seems! ![]()
Same issue on my new S10 tablet. Any update on this?
January 2026, having the same issue on s23 ultra. Issue is still not fixed. Workaround does not work.
Terrible service so far…
Hello @Konstantin_Dudura , welcome to Zwift Forums! The remainder of this issue is specific to a chipset used only in a few regions on a few models of Samsung devices. It’s still being tracked for a fix by our engineers at Zwift HQ.
Regarding the workaround not working for you, we may be able to help out if you can provide more details about what you are seeing. You can also write in to Support for more direct assistance. I want to clarify that disabling HUD via the action bar during your activity will not affect this issue. HUD-less screenshots will still appear black in the Save Ride screen until the workaround is applied. You’ll need to select the green icon in the top right of a screenshot image’s thumbnail within the Save Ride screen to disable the screenshot HUD and remove the black/blank overlay.
Thanks for persisting with this. I’m on an S24+ and have been experiencing it for months. Very keen for a fix. Good luck!
Forget about it… There are so many bugs that are not fixed for YEARS or EVER if you search this forum! They just don’t care, instead keep building elevators and new socks…
Every Chinese 1$ game engine can render a screenshot, as if eg. the european Samsung Product Line is rare or of unheard foreign chipset…
I have a new samsung tab s10 FE bought in January 2026 but also facing the black screenshots at the end of the ride. I see you speaking more then 2 years about un update.. Whats the status at the moment?
So, I was running it on the Samsung S9 Fe+ tablet until two weeks ago - screenshots were perfect. Now on the S10 Fe+, blank/black images. Have only just seen the workaround, but seriously not cool.
I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled Zwift on tablet and Companion App on phone, and still not sorted.
How can you do it after u have saved the ride?
I’m new and with my Android S24 it’s not working… Always black screens (pictures) but how can i do it after the ride.
Can’t find it in the app…
Hello @Rowdy , I’m experiencing the same issue on three different Samsung devices.
Reading this thread I can see that this is a 2024 issue. Just to understand, what do you mean when you write about “few models”? Since february 2024, the list of new Samsung devices increased a lot, so what “few” means for Zwift company? Moreover, I can read that engineers are working on this since 2024: is this really still true, after two years? Is there a way to escalate the problem? The workaround is really bad.
Thanks.
Hello @Maurizio_Scarparo , the issue is related to certain Xclipse GPUs that are used on some Samsung models in the Europe region. More robust Snapdragon GPUs are used on the same Samsung models in North America, China, Japan, and South Korea. The issue does not occur on the Snapdragon-powered devices (or on any other Android devices). I hope this helps with some context. I’ll report to our engineers that this issue is still open.
Hello @Rowdy, thanks for the feedback. I hope that engineers will fix this issue soon.
Hi, I’m having issues with the Zwift ride screenshots in that they no longer show the HUD information, just the picture itself. Clicking on the thumbnail toggles the picture on and off but that’s it. This is on a Samsung S25. Account not logged in on any other device. Picture shows the ride screenshot, no HUD.
Thanks!
Is the screenshot black when you toggle the thumbnail?
Correct, clicking that makes the pic black
OK I merged your question to this known issue. Unfortunately this a longstanding bug that affects certain Android devices and I don’t think there’s any workaround for it.
