I am using a Wahoo Kickr V6 with my carbon frame bike and am noticing that after riding a while the trainer slightly unseats itself in the axel drops (if that is the right term). The QR skewers still seem tight and as soon as they are released the bike resits itself in the correct position.
I can’t tighten the skewers anymore and actually close them.
Obviously more likely to happen when thundering out watts (Think stage 2 of baseline or a race).
I tend to notice because the bike seems to tilt slightly to one side and there is a bit more of a wobble.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Are you twisting the lever of the QR like a wingnut, or flipping the lever closed so its internal cam secures the lever tightly?
Please reference this helpful video:
Using the lever in the correct manner after tightening the opposing nut.
Have you tried a different skewer? Wondering if the current one could have a small bend in it resulting in the slight imbalance.
It may be the skewer. It was a bit plasticy. I have replaced with a solid metal Tacx one. Lets see how that goes.
