Being forced to draft whatever bike is ahead when using steering is a long time annoying problem. I would much prefer to do all my own steering instead of my bike making steering decisions. There is no advantage in any situation including group rides to have automatic drafting.
I actually like that feature but it does have some problems. It is helpful to not have to steer to chase a rider who is playing games weaving all over the road in a race, and the automatic steering does a better job of generally staying in the draft all the time. But this feature has been enabled only for steering riders and not for riders without a steering device. Also it seems to steer into any available draft so it may move you over to a slower moving rider who is being overtaken by someone you are drafting. Or if riders are two abreast in front of you it constantly swerves back and forth unable to pick one and stick to it, which is very weird to see.
