I thought this bug was fixed ages ago? Disconnect, claims to be reconnected but no signal. Any modern ways to deal with this beyond rebooting zwift?

Undoubtedly, connection issues are really hard to pin out. There are some reasons why a device is paired without signal.
Check to see if you have anything else that might be pairing and blocking the connection.
Also, I’d like to suggest you check your USB port setting, aspects like; Power saving, and USB version (must be version 2.0 or higher). Additionally, you should check the conditions of your dongle and port.
