Do I require a “smart” phone to use Zwift Companion?
Well, it’ll have to have Android 9 and up*, or iOS 12 and up.
You don’t need to have much else on the phone enabled. WiFi to connect to your home network and the ability to download App updates.
- although it would be best to get something running 10 or 11 as 9 won’t be supported for long.

J’ai le même problème.
Zwift sur mon videoprojecteur avec NVIDIA shield. Trop loin pour la réception bluetooth.
J’ai ZC sur mon téléphone.
Mais l’appli zwift cherche désespérément le zwift play via bluetooth plutôt que via ZC.
Une idée svp?
Meme réseau wifi 5ghz.
Localisation ok sur ZC.
ZC sur écran jeu ok.
I think using the Companion app for pairing only works with Mac, PC, and Apple TV. Do you see the option to pair by phone in the Zwift app pairing screen?
Zwift is not supported on any Android TV devices like the Nvidia Shield so it won’t be possible to get support for any problems with it. I would check if Zwift has permission to use Bluetooth on the Nvidia Shield. Sometimes this is enabled via Location permissions on Android.

Non ce n’est pas écrit couplage car a priori c’est automatique sur android.
Du coup je met un grand câble HDMI pour rapprocher la NVIDIA de mon vélo et tout fonctionne parfaitement, c’est juste ennuyeux car je préfère que ce soit bien rangé.
Sinon zwift play,click et home trainer Victory fonctionne parfaitement sur shield c’est top avec le vidéoprojecteur.
