After the update the other day to 1.76.0 my Zwift does not see the BT devices anymore and BT icon is showing a yellow triangle. Neither can I connect via the companion app. both Zwift and companion don’t see the trainer (Elite Direto), the pedals, the HRM. Nothing. All other virtual riding software sees the trainer perfectly and instantly. I’ve checked all my PC drivers, reinstalled Zwift. Nothing helps. Running Win11 Pro
I understand how important it is for you to know why you are experiencing this issue after your update. That is not the experience we wanted you to have.
Has your environment changed at all? Have you added anything to the area around your setup that could interfere with your Bluetooth signal? In some cases, other BLE devices might be interfering with the game’s BLE. For Bluetooth troubleshooting, please follow the steps highlighted in this article.
Additionally, please make sure that your trainer firmware is updated and calibrated.
No, nothing has changed. Worked well for over a year. Moreover I remind you - other software connects to the same system with no issues whatsoever and very fast. Zwift AND companion do not connect to the trainer, the pedals, the HRM… And what does that yellow triangle mean on the BT logo?
Shuji at Zwift HQ here. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I’ve looked at your server log history and see that something did indeed change after your last good session on October 15.
We are investigating. We appreciate your patience.
Your game logs indicate an error 1114 when it loads the Windows Bluetooth library. It’s most likely that’s the cause of the yellow triangle. Please look through this article about error 1114 and see if those things help.
Maybe it’s unrelated to this issue, but I noticed something that changed recently regarding BLE, the feature request “game_1_43_3_ble_dll_v2” used to get a “true” response and after the 1.76 update it does not.
TY. Looking into it. I’ve checked my BT connection to 6 other platforms and have no issues at all. That alone seems odd. In the link you’ve provided the 1st suggestion is to analyze if I’ve installed any new software - YES I did - I have updated my Zwift to 1.76. The rest of the suggestions are not really applicable. They all refer to trying to set graphics to max performance, but I am not on a laptop, I am on a desktop PC that is already set at max performance and it is MORE then enough for Zwift. Moreover - it seems that error 1114 is typical for Win10 and I use Win11. \
So, since on win10 error 1114 was related to the graphics card, not the BT, I went on to double check my setup. Everything was up to date EXCEPT Asus GPU Tweak III - it was several versions behind. And updating it DID fix Zwift BT connection. Why did Zwift break because of a Graphics card utility and why nothing else on my PC broke is a mystery.
