Zwift should offer “Just Ride” and “Join” for the start of the ride and then a limited number of “jump to” other riders so that you do not have to log in / log out to join riders on other parts of the island that you saw while warming up. Obviously the amount of “jump to’s” would have to be limited to 2-3 per day and would invalidate any race times automatically.
Jumping forward would cause problems with bad timing on Strava segements, but jumping in reverse might work. My hunch is that there is some sort of bad side effect here. Maybe another approach is to get notices when a “friend/follower” is on the island and some option to see how far ahead/behind they are. From there it would be possible to speed up or slow down to connect. Visibility of others is probably the key issue here.
darn good point! I guess we will just have to wait for rider to come around, sprint to, or log out … FAIR ENOUGH.
