Is there any new development to getting a recumbent trike avatar? Would really like to represent RLRā€™s on Zwift.

Still hoping for the recumbent trike avatar, with all the new updates youā€™d think they could help us recumbent trikers and bikers out. Hopefully soon, RIDE ON!!

Did Wahoo and Zwift team up? If so why donā€™t they use the recumbent trike avatar from Wahoo RGT that is now shut down. Just a thought.

A hand cycle like this is made for speed, which is totally different from a leg powered recumbent where the rider is sitting more upright.
Would love to see a real recumbent trike avatar.

After not getting used to a normal bike saddle (probably due to my weight, which I obviously want to reduce), I also got a recumbent trike this year. Apart from my weight, Iā€™m not disabled but simply enjoy the butt-hurt-free riding and the different ride mechanics of a low-to-ground trike.
In Indievelo, now TrainingPeaks Virtual, there is actually a tadpole trike available which made me try that one first before trying zwift.
As someone else said: I think itā€™s cool to display what youā€™re riding on and itā€™s also a useful information IMO. We recumbents canā€™t get out of the saddle to push a friggin kilowatt into our pedals and shouldnā€™t be expected to.

(The black one is mine. Of course I donā€™t use the E-Motor on the trainer. Itā€™s there to give me the strength to overcome really steep inclines on real life tours and to compensate my weight a bit.)

I can also only use a recumbent trike following a stroke I had a few years ago

I currently use a handcycle avatar but itā€™s not ideal.

Iā€™m all for a recumbent trike on the game and maybe even some specific races

Thatā€™s kind of disheartening. There are quite a few recumbent riders on this Zwift platform that would really like to rep their real world ride, but thanks for the response.

This is not the kind of request I would expect to see them commit to but that doesnā€™t mean it wonā€™t happen. Itā€™s simply unknown and likely to stay that way unless they actually do it.
