About the Running category

GREAT!!!
But don’t work for me :frowning:
Chrome and Safari on Mac

That’s exactly what I’m using. Where is it messing up?

SORRY…
My bad, after a nights sleep my brain start working again, works just fine now

Good to hear! The design is flexible-- we can add-in a ton of stuff. Just let me know.

The same, like it!

It feels like runners are dumped in the sidelines, I’m always finding myself running on curb edges, through bystandards, goalposts, etc. ideally I wouldn’t run on a road at all, just a nature trail, but if it’s has to be a road, at least put us in the middle or on the sidewalk, not somewhere in between :frowning:

Really liking the Zwift Run! Never in my wildest dreams thought that I’d run as much as I do. I ‘hated’ running and did it occasionally when I was feeling a need to become more fit. I’ve now been using it fairly regularly and loving running.

One thing that I find odd is the amount of times my avatar runs side to side. I’d like to just run straight as the ‘S motion’ distracts me. Any idea why my avatar does this?

It is thought that it is caused when you pass riders or other runners in the road that are hidden from you because you are in a group event.

Really happy with the running AI option. Love it in the cycling and now it is great in running. Runners agree?

LOVE Zwift run! I recommend it to anyone who will give me the time. I’d love to see it developed out a little farther. I don’t really ride but would definitely pay for a subscription IF it was developed out more like the riding aspects of things. I’d love to be able to get badges for completing non-runner only courses. It’s such a great feeling to finish a longer harder run and it’d be nice to have a badge to show for it. I’d also love to see some slower pacing group options for events. Not all of us run like 20 year old gazelles. It would also be great to have some way to communicate with a treadmill so that the inclines could happen automatically as they do with the bike trainers, so that you don’t have to adjust it manually every time you go up a hill. Also I’ve noticed that doing a U-turn isn’t an option when you’re running. This is such a wonderful program but it definitely still feels like a beta version, at least when you can see all that’s available to the cyclists in comparison. Even still, I’m not about to stop using it any time soon. It’s highly addictive in all the best ways. Thanks for a wonderful product! Please please please keep developing the Run side of it!

On a separate note, it would also be nice to have more options for just your basic avatar, specifically hair colors.

I use a Garmin Fenix 6s with a Garmin footpod and HRM. I find that the treadmill, Zwift app and watch all show different distance/pace so I am confused. I have calibrated the devices to the app numerous times but I don’t know why they all show different statistics. Comparing the distance between the 3 options, the app always shows that I have ran further than the treadmill which then shows I have ran further than the watch. Does anyone have any advice on how I might sort this out please? Thanks.

Any plans to introduce more route badges for runners? Doesn’t even need to be new routes or paths, but the regular routes in & around the Jungle Circuit would seem fairly prime for it, amongst others.

Ok, more effort by me, quick look at the Watopia route list, assuming 15km is about the limit (longest badge atm is Flat Irons @ 14.8km and that’s the one I haven’t done yet - a long way on a treadmill!)

Beach Island Loop 12.8k
Flat Route 10.5k
Hilly Route 9.4k
Jungle 13.8k
Two Bridges 7.0k
Volcano 5,3k
Volcano CCW 7.4k
Volcano flat 12.6

Road to Sky 17.9k, just for the nonsense of jogging past people on bikes who are absolute on the limit :upside_down_face:

London Classique also an obvious candidate. You can run it anyway, just needs a badge :man_shrugging:

Newbie here and loving zwift but can’t get the distance and pace to match up. 1 zwift mile seems to be between 1.05 and 1.1 miles on my treadmill (which pretty much matches my garmin’s distance). Also pace on my treadmill is clearly steady but it fluctuates wildly on zwift but up and down with out my changing the treadmill. What am I doing wrong??

How are you interfacing with Zwift?

I love zwift run. normally i am using the bike trainer with zwift, but sometimes i run. thing is that i do not have access to a treadmill, so i run in realtime on a 400 m track outside. The foodpod and hrm communicates via the garmin forerunner to zwift run. I use a special strap holding my iphone with zwift on my forearm.

Realtime speed and cadence corresponds what i see in zwift, meaning calibration is good.

This way i can safely run on a track without other traffic, and regulary look at zwift as well. Its funny, i got rideons in the real world from friends along the track, and virtual rideons in zwift. Running in real time in cold cloudy weather while at the same time virtual running on the beachroad in watopia.

Cool

That’s quite impressive Marcel. I guess the only problem would be battery life.

Correct, it drains battery, a 30-40 mins run drains 50% of my iphone x

Love it! it’s been accurate and enjoyable; getting more familiar with Zwift companion as well!

Been using Zwift for a while now. Unfortunately, since the recent update, my “runner” doesn’t move anymore. Zwift Foot Pod connects ok. Any ideas? Even before the update the speed didn’t correspond with the treadmill, in spite of calibrating. So overall my experience so far has not been brilliant.

Hi
I started running again after along time out because of a smashed femur. I’ve completed the 0 to10 k over a six week period. Great fun using the run pod but not very accurate. I’ve now purchased the runn sensor. Impossible to the stick the markers down on the belt. If I ever succeed I’ll be all over the running and cycling as I’ve only been cycling on zwift for nearly 2 years and loving it.
