Ability to remove weekly goals

Feature Request: With the latest update then Zwift unilaterally imposed weekly goals on all their customers. I want to suggest a method to remove / disable / delete that weekly goal.

Reasoning: I don’t have a weekly virtual cycling goal. I have a weekly activity goal, encompassing indoor and outdoor cycling; walking, hiking and running; and swimming. Of course I include outdoor e-bike rides and even activities that are a mix of walking and e-scooting. Anything that gets me outside and/or moving. I’m very serious about that goal but also very flexible about its weekly composition. Zwift has now imposed a weekly indoor cycling goal on me and it is in my face each time I open the Companion app, taking up half the front page screen and impossible to ignore.

Yes, please. This is super annoying.

Could someone please explain how to remove all weekly targets via the companion app.

Everything I try it reverts to 30 minutes and I do not need any targets set.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

William

Hi @William_Smart_Adalta

I understand that you are looking to remove weekly goals in the Companion app. This is Haziel from Zwift support. Please note that the weekly goals are there to motivate continuous improvement in your riding experience, and are currently unable to remove, please check this other thread to vote and provided more visibility to your feature request.

You might find it helpful to know that you can set your weekly goal to a minimum of 30 minutes if that feels more manageable for you. I also recommend checking out our article on Managing Your Goals, as it provides some great tips to adjust your goals.

If you’d prefer, you can choose to ignore the goal tracking altogether; this won’t impact your rides, achievements, or membership in any way.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any more questions or need assistance. We’re here to help you! You can contact us at support@zwift.com, and we’ll be happy to assist you further.

Zwift seems to have a misconception about what some of their users want. It is OK to not seek continuous improvement. It’s also OK to use something else to track any desired improvement. If they’re happy using the product and don’t want to be pushed toward continuous improvement, that seems reasonable to me.

Yeah, no reason to force certain goals on someone, especially if they only have a few goal types to choose from. I suspect it’s so everyone can benefit from the intelligent suggestions based on a goal of some form maybe?

I set my weekly goal to 6214 miles.
I’ll never achieve that.
I will also never see the “Weekly Goal Met” splash or anything like that.

But maybe now your route suggestions will all be lapping PRL Full many times to hit your goal

Maybe so.
But I can ignore that too.

Agree. This and fitness trends is a waste of space for me and, together with whatever ad banner is currently showing, fills the entire first page of the home page on the Companion app.

Just want an option to eliminate the “goals” feature. Some people like it, that’s fine, but I want to ride my bike without the app telling me what I should be doing for my fitness. I am aware I can set it for a lower time or distance. That’s not the point. I just don’t want that popping up and annoying me. Toggle OFF switch please.
