4GB GTX1650 + 10th gen i7 Only 11fps 4K?

Just got a new laptop:

Dell XPS 15”
10th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-10750H
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1650 Ti 4GB GDDR6
16GB DDR4-2933MHz, 2x8G
256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD

To be honest I was expecting great things from it. However plugging it in to my TV for 4K Zwift - it’s running at 11-18fps???

For this level of hardware - does that sound about right?

There’s no such thing as a desktop 1650 Ti, so with 4GB of VRAM I’m assuming it’s a slightly beefed up 1650. Laptop components are generally much less powerful than their desktop counterparts despite the same naming schemes. But anyway yes, you should be getting more though it depends on the circumstances of your ride and your setup. If this was in a group event or with a busy pace partner then frame rate is always much lower than normal.

In any case, check you’re plugged into the mains, that you’re on the High Performance power plan (and any other sliders are on maximum power), and that the power setting in the Zwift menu is set to battery saver off. Are you absolutely sure Zwift is using the GPU and not the i7 for graphics? Put a log file into Zwiftalizer to be sure.

I have a Lenovo with the 1660ti and am getting 90-110 fps so I think something is not quite right (same CPU, memory, and a bit bigger HD).

Make sure all drivers up to date. Go through the Dell website to update. they put on some software to manage the GPUs.
You can try uninstalling Zwift and reinstalling.
Make sure your network is working at speed. Use speedtest.net

All I can think of at the moment…
