Garmin announced Zwift Ready compatibility today, which brings Virtual Shifting to their popular Tacx Neo 2T, Neo 2, and Neo 3M trainers. You can read Garmin’s announcement here.
- Follow this link to Garmin’s support site to upgrade firmware on your Tacx 2T, Tacx 2, or Tacx 3M using the Tacx Training app.
- You’ll need a Zwift Play, Zwift Click and Cog set, or Zwift Ride Smart Frame to control virtual shifting.
- Note: Zwift Ride Smart Frame is not compatible with the Tacx Neo 3M.
- We recommend the Zwift Cog for drivetrain compatibility in multiple-bike households. Select the Zwift Cog variant with no freehub body for Elite and Garmin Tacx trainers.
- A Zwift Cog is required when using the Zwift Ride Smart Frame. Installation instructions for the Zwift Cog are here.
- Verify that firmware for Zwift Play, Zwift Click, or Zwift Ride is the latest version using the Zwift Companion app.
- Pair your trainer and controllers over Bluetooth. Virtual Shifting is not possible over ANT+. If you have an ANT+ USB dongle, we recommend unplugging it from your PC or Mac.
