Zwift hanging at "checking for update"

Mac OSX Yosemite - Just today when loading ZWIFT it’s hanging at the Checking for Update screen for hours. Tried quiting etc…no change. any ideas?

My mac Yosemite did the same last night, I rebooted and it did it again, I pressed escape and it let me start and ride 3 laps and I quit and saved to strava window closed and revealed the checking for upgrade window still running behind window.

Same problem here Yosemite 10.10.3. I did the following to no avail:

  • Restored custom graphics config to default (changing the graphics configs used to cause the updater to infinite loop: download, install, check for new version, download, install, etc.)
  • Restarted Zwift app multiple times
  • Restarted computer
  • Download and install (newer?) installer from zwift.com since it is now an open beta. Same problem but I did notice that the version number between the boot program’s display and Zwift -> About are different, notice the screen shot attached --probably should get that in sync for better troubleshooting
  • Checked Console logs. No obvious problems.
