You’ve gotta be kidding me! $300 for a thermometer that measures your SKIN temperature??? That’s what it’s touching.
If you don’t know you are overheated, you have problems that can’t be fixed by pouring cash from a bucket, much less wasting a precious Bluetooth channel. You can learn more by looking down at the puddles of sweat on your training mat

Well, not my training mat; it’s covered with floor diapers so the sweat won’t run off onto the carpet.

but the pros use it so now you also have to have one, duh!!! This is how the cycling industry works or everyone will go out of business.

Haha not for everyone. Mostly very serious or elite athletes who use it for measuring additional stats when heat training

I gotta think power meters do quite a bit of internal signal processing – call it “averaging,” *before" sending the data (via BLE or what ever) to Zwift. Point being, the “power meter” is already averaging the heck out of the data, because strain gage raw measurements are extremely noisy.

That may not be true for some (or all?) smart trainer power measurements, though. As I understand it, at least some trainer manufacturers use their precise knowledge of their own hardware’s internal losses (plus calibration) and the linear relationship between the current driving their resistance unit to estimate actual power.

[Potential marketing hype alert!]
Using the resistance unit current us possibly more accurate than what can be achieved with strain gauges (or piezo electric sensors, which are also very noisy).
Feel free to add or correct me. I’ve always been a bit suspicious about the claimed accuracy of bike power meters.

The idea isn’t to tell you when you are over heating it is to allow you to hold yourself right at the edge of overheating to build heat tolerance.

It’s a Bluetooth enabled thermometer, strapped to the outside of your body; it measures skin temperature. Maybe it extrapolates? That’s not gonna be accurate. If you want your core temperature, your gonna have to ride with a rectal thermometer. :squinting_face_with_tongue::grimacing::double_exclamation_mark:

That device is hypetech. It’s designed to harvest $300 from unsuspecting midlife crisis suffering bikeaholics like ourselves. Well, not me. Not that particular piece of hypetech.

Explains the cutout in the saddle

That’s how it’s done in a sports performance lab. Not exactly something you can do outdoors if you’re a pro athlete who values having this data in real time.

Is there any way to change the intervals shown in the Ride Stats hud? That 60 minutes is going to be showing dashes the vast majority of the time.
Can I change it to something else? Or have it hidden until I’ve ridden that long in the session?

Sort of like how it hides best 5k and 10k time in Zwift Run until you pass those distances.

A post was merged into an existing topic: Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift [July 2025]

Same here on PC. First ride was on Monday outside. First (or second) Zwift rides were both today - my 2nd and 3rd overall rides of the week. No streak screen. I’m assuming no XP, either.

My ZwiftApp was already updated before my Monday outside ride.

@Jeremy_Hardman @GregRajkovic

Thanks for flagging this up. There is indeed an issue with Streaks increasing incorrectly. We’re planning on a fix in the next release cycle. Thanks in advance for your patience.

Regarding the new route badges - is there a way to create events on these routes? Along with several older routes, these do not appear in the route lists for meetups or user club events. Would be great if all routes were available for user event creation! (Do bigger/official clubs have access to the full list somehow?)

Clubs that organize events on the public calendar often have to contact the Zwift events team to put a race on routes that are not available for club events. However when event-only routes are brand new, they’re generally not available that way until Zwift is done with whatever events they have planned for those routes.

This did not work for me. I rode outside on Monday and on Zwift on Tuesday this week and I did not get the bonus.

Same here, road outside on Monday, Zwift on Thursday and did not receive the 500XP or see the streak screen. Running 1.93.2 on a MacBook Pro.

Me too. Running 1.93.2 on a Windows 11 computer.
