I see more thumbnails are rolling out for team jerseys, that is nice! Some events with assigned bikes are showing jerseys for the assigned bike, like this weekâs Torturefest at 09:30 Pacific on 18 Sept. iOS.
The App is getting better and better on Android and just lately I have not even had a Map screen freeze on me. I would take that power screen scale out from 600W to 1000W however, it is completely missing any sprint work duration.
I run Zwift on my Mac (No issues) and run the companion app on my Samsung Galaxy. Always worked brilliantly until the new app update. Now I now longer see the map or game links on the app even when riding and cannot see the menu, consequently canât change the camera view, give Ride ons etc etc. I have say why fix it, if it ainât broke? It worked brilliantly before now itâs changed the experience significantly for the worse. Really disappointing.
If youâre doing an hourâs riding and have a total of 3 minutes of sprints with the rest being Zone 1 or 2 noodling, then the bar for your sprints will be dwarfed by the bars for your noodling, to the point where itâs not useful.
Hi @Stu_Knowler_RICC welcome to Zwift forums.
Shuji at Zwift HQ here.
Iâm scanning your server logs for clues, and something out of the ordinary I see is you have the Companion app running on both a Samsung Galaxy M31 phone and an iPad, is that correct? If the Samsung is your preferred device to use Companion, please uninstall Companion from the iPad.
Companion is meant to be installed on one device only, and the main Zwift app is also meant to be installed on one (separate) device only. Assuming this is the case - Companion glitches are usually cleared up by rebooting your WiFi router and also rebooting your phone / computer to re-establish them on your network. It never hurts to reboot everything regularly.
If you click the âall rulesâ link in the app it doesnât actually display all the event rules. This one for example is no TT bikes and it doesnât show that. Similarly for an ITT event it doesnât show âno draft.â
You do realise you can tap on those bars or even in that bar area and get the total duration right down to seconds right ? The bar may not be visible but the data is there. Would be useful for accumulation of time for sprint work, 600W simply is not high enough.
Hi Shuji,
Firstly WOW I thought that Iâd have to wait weeks for a reply so thank you very much.
I will indeed delete the iPad installations and let you know how I get on.
btw I am a committed ârebooterâ!
Yes, I realise that, but what are you going to do with that data? I donât see the use case for TiZ at sprint intensities.
If I want to track how my sprint is looking, Iâm either going to look directly at the data to see peak power and drop off, or iâll head to my PD curve for sprint durations to compare against previous efforts/PRs.
Companion has blank route info for all the Unlocked events that are starting in about 40 minutes, I checked the App Store and thereâs no update available.
