This has been an implementation observation for a while, but thinking about it - it’s weird…
Why is the aspect ratio distorted for some route map overviews?
Example: Watopia’s Waistband and Big Flat 8 have the same outer limits, but render entirely differently.
The bigger question is why has Zwift taken to rotating some of the worlds by 90* compared to what is shown on Strava?
I have a hard time figuring out routes on Strava when looking at France and Makuri, and even Scotland.
That is fascinating, actually. I just checked and it is the same with Intervals.icu.
I never paid attention to this detail on those tools because I just look at the data, but yeah, for people looking at segments, I making sure there is consistency in Companion where North means North so that people could do better visual comparisons of their performance.
