Zwift Companion 3.62 [September 2024]

Still getting double notifications for post-activity ride ons.

Deteriorating! I started using this for a father son moment. It WAS great. Struggling to get my devices connected (I am 80, shouldn’t be riding hard w o HRM). My kid fought just to do the upgrade. I don’t think he’s computer stupid. He’s a senior managing software engineer.
I see more riders on rouvy and they have added astronomical numbers of routes.

I didn’t get a notification for an event this morning.

Why doesn’t it work on iOS?

Updated Companion app today, now I can’t log in to it at all. Have tried changing password, deleting and reinstalling app to no avail, but I can still log into Zwift app on my laptop no problem. Is there a significant problem with logging on since the software update? Can I roll back to the last version - that worked fine?!

I have 3.62.1. It was working fine - route data still different than in-game* - but now when I tap on ā€œRoutesā€ in the companion app, the button flashes like it always did but navigates nowhere: nothing happens.

*) How is this even a problem? I’ve been writing software for 40 years. Normal apps just display different views on the same data. Whatever Zwift is doing has to be harder - different caches of data? - and definitely leads to data inaccuracies.

I’m using my iPad and iPhone and they are on the same wireless network and the companion app is no longer connecting to Zwift after this update

That’s what I was thinking as well, but their status page said everything is fine. It’s been wrong/late before.

Yep, the status page is a waste of time unfortunately.

Still not working. Even rebooted the phone (iPhone 15 Bluetooth issues again).

The main thread for this issue is Companion Routes: Error loading PR data

Having the same issue with my iPhone and MacBook Pro. Yesterday and today the Companion app has not been able to sync with Zwift,

Try rebooting your devices and also your home router too. This issue is almost always something on your home network that is stopping your Companion device from seeing your game device.

I’ve had issues with reconnecting after disconnecting mid-ride (for example if I disconnect wifi so I can ride-on everyone I follow), but it’s working mostly-as-normal when starting up before riding etc.

Edit: Just got one, it seems to matter if the companion app is running in the background or not.

Got the same issue as well. Since a few rides the Companion app doesn’t sync with Zwift. It doesn’t even know that I’m riding. It looks like it happend around the same time after I updated my Apple phone 15 to iOS 18.1.

I’ve tried everything, even rebooted router etc. Nothing seems to be working.

I was able to resolve the issue by deleting the Zwift app from my MacBook and reinstalling it. Now it seems back to normal. Hope that helps!
