Zwift Click 2.0 steering drift

Anyone notice minor drifting in the new Zwift Click 2.0.

I noticed this the other day when climbing in Mayan where they have distinct lines for the tiles on the roadway. I steered all the way to the right around a curve and my bike was lined up directly on the tile line. Only to find a few hundred meters later I am drifting back to the center and I have to hit my arrow button again to move back to the right.

this is how steering has always worked in Zwift, eventually it returns to auto-steering and you have to constantly move back over to the left or right, especially annoying on long climbs when you want to stay on a particular side of the road.

Still trying to figure out why you would even need this “Feature” sounds as annoying as hell. I guess they must have improved it a bit as I no longer see people swerving all over the place like a drunken idiot.

on longer courses, it actually helps to make them slightly shorter. Helpful in the TTT races if you are at the front to cut the apex’s.

It didn’t always work like that, it just works like that since Zwift brought in the change to overrule whatever line people actually want to stay on. I’ve had steering for ages before Zwift got on that band-wagon.

It’s an annoying “improvement” on long climbs, but I suppose it’s probably making riding more exciting in some contexts so we have to enjoy the change.
