Anyone know if i can connect the garmin forerunner 235 to zwift in order to add the pulse?

According to Garmin’s specifications, the features include “HR Broadcast (broadcasts HR data over ANT+™ to paired devices).”
So you’d need to have an ANT+ receiver (USB device) on your PC or Mac.
For iOS devices, you could use an ANT+ to Bluetooth bridge device (Viiiiva Heart Rate Monitor or NPE CABLE to connect one or more ANT+ monitors to the Apple device (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV). Or just get a heart rate monitor that broadcasts Bluetooth as well as ANT+ (which you obviously get in the package with the Viiiiva).
I can’t speak to Android.
I believe the 235 only broadcast HR in ANT+.
What device are you running Zwift on?
