Zwift Camp: Baseline [November 2024]

I don’t think any of the programs like Baseline have ever worked well enough to be useful so I skip them all. The workouts aren’t good enough and the extras are usually buggy. Like many people I feel the urge to do them because of what they promise but I’ve learned to just do my own thing rather than be disappointed.

Hey there,

I’m wondering, if I am the only one with the following problem:

Mail opt-in is activated, I did all stages, I have the kit incl. the wheels unlocked, but never ever got an e-mail after a training or test.
Spam folder ist empty.
Last mail from zwift is from october this year, when I changed to annual subscription.

I guess I also won’t receive the Baseline Report…

Any suggestions?

Merry Christmas

I completed the sprint test this evening only to find that Zwift has not acknowledged completion as part of the Baseline series. I had the same problem during the Zwift academy workouts. I’d appreciate if someone working for Zwift can look into this? Having to keep repeating workouts to get credit and, in this case, have to complete a max effort test is incredibly annoying plus draining when I still need to complete the other workouts.

I’m sure someone said, “I want to do an endurance test, but I only have ten minutes today.”
You’re right, what is the purpose of having to do the entire route?

I had a similar issue that others have reported.

I completed the Endurance test, and got an FTP increase (to 185 watts) during The Grade portion. Rode the route all the way to the end, and saved the ride. Then I did a robo-pacer cool down for 12 minutes at around 90 watts.

My after-event emailed report said my endurance was 90 watts. Nope.

Then when I got my emailed Baseline fitness report (24 hours later), it said my strength is Sprinting (not true), and weakness was Endurance.

And the content of the “fitness report” is meager at best.

Overall I enjoyed the event format (workouts and tests), but the fitness report was disappointing.

Does anyone know how long a delay there can be between finishing the tests and getting the final rider report? The post test emails for sprinting, attacking and endurance arrived immediately. Zwift insider waited 24hrs for their rider report. For me it’s now 72 hours and I’m beginning to think something has gone wrong. If someone waited longer than this and then got their report, it would be reassuring. Thanks.

24 hours for the report to arrive with me

Anyway, this report is of no use. No good advice, just telling me if I want to get better at sprint I should do sprints, if I want more stamina do more endurance training. WTF ? What’s the use ?

22 hours.

Today I completed the Endurance Evaluation. My email afterwards says that my 10 minutes best was 150 watts, which is very low. My ride a a whole shows an average of 222 watts and the ride report showed a 20 minute best of 262 watts so obviously my 10 minute best couldn’t have been 150 watts. On my feed on the website the “Fitness” section shows a 90 day 10 minute best of 270 watts which was set today.

There is a similar post (can’t link to it, it seems) and like that person I did a separate cool down ride afterwards as a completely separate activity. My average power for that ride was 141 watts, so it’s possible there was a 10 minute 150 watt average in there somewhere.

Sorry to create a basically duplicate bug report, but the linked post says it was merged with the main Zwift Camp Baseline post, is closed, and is going to be deleted and there’s no obvious recognition of an issue, known bugs report, etc.

Hello. Just completed endurance test, and managed to increase my FTP from 258 to 267, on The Grade. A very hard effort.
An email arrived shortly after that stated my baseline strength report endurance performance ‘ten min best’ is 112 Watts, and also stated that my previous best was 283 watts.
How is this possible? Surely my best 10 mins would be somewhere above/around the FTP of 267 watts, probably above my previous best as I increased FTP. Very deflating email.
Anyone have any clues?

Lots of reports of the same thing at Zwift Camp: Baseline [November 2024]

Did you perhaps do a robo-pacer cool-down ride immediately after your Endurance test?

Apparantly I missed my summary email because I wasn’t subscribed. Which is true. And now it’s too late to get my baseline summary.

You send too many emails, so of course I unsubscribed.

There should be granularity in the emails settings to turn off the annoying generic emails but leave specific communication to me turned on.

Looking at a post from 2022, you used to get this level of granularity in the email settings

Now it’s just the one option

This is poor.

Yes, as a separate ride after the test ended, and joined from the home screen. Can’t believe they would mix those up!

Are you new here?

Gotta say that the complete and utter forum radio silence from Zwift with regards to several threads highlighting problems with Zwift Camp: Baseline has been very disappointing, to the point where even a serial non-complainer like me is getting irked.

Feedback on the follow-up “Endurance Challenge” workout series:
(Since I can’t start a new Topic in the Events area, I’ll leave this here)

I completed The Big Ring route-based workout.

  • The on-screen prompts only appeared on the computer monitor - but did not appear on the Zwift Companion app. Usually a workout provides both.

  • The on-screen prompts could use a lot more detail. Like, it would be handy to have specific power targets, instead of the broad “Stay in Zone 2 or Zone 3”. That’s a pretty big range.

  • For the first 10 minutes, there’s essentially no useful guidance about a good warmup target.

  • I’m fairly new to workouts. So I didn’t really understand what “Zone 2 or Zone 3” meant. It wasn’t until 1/3 through the route (between the 2nd and 3rd sprints) that a helpful prompt said that Blue on the power meter is Zone 2, and Green is Zone 3. Would have been helpful for that info to be provided during the first 10 minutes.

  • The four full-out sprints in the first 1/3 of the route are brutal, especially if it’s Endurance training.

Overall:
I like the concept of a route-based workout. But the way it’s implemented, there’s really very little feedback or coaching provided during this workout.

This morning I completed the Zwift Baseline Camp with the Elevation Evaluation test. Six hours later and I have yet to receive my Rider Strength Report nor did I receive an email stating my completion of the Elevation Evaluation upon completion. A quick search result says that the report will be sent within 48hrs of completion of the camp. I am also “subscribed”to receive emails as was mentioned in the search result. Just curious, does it really take this long to get your report?

Mine took 22 hours. Others report similar.
