Zwift Apple Calendar access

Roughly a year ago in order to add an event a user signed up for in the Companion App to the user’s Apple calendar the app’s calendar access level requirement changed from “Add Events Only” to “Full Access”. Adding events with the lower calendar access granted worked great before then. This was brought up a few times on the forum, but I don’t remember there ever being even a single official response from a Zwift representative.

Was there ever any indication that this is a Zwift-introduced bug that will eventually be addressed, or considering Zwift’s silence on the subject does everyone just figure they’re forcing full calendar access privileges in order to harvest users’ personal data?

If this issue has been addressed by some form of communication from Zwift and someone’s able to point me to that I’d sure appreciate it, as I’ve come up empty.

Thanks!

This was the closest clue that I found

I have no idea if they care about changing how it works

Thanks, Paul. Ya, I was part of that thread, back in February, and was hoping there’d maybe been an update since that I’d missed. :man_shrugging:
