Still can’t find them. But Zwift is still on 1.29.0 patch and I don’t know how to get it to update.
There’s a bug with the text on Workout 2 (long) - immediately before the third block, it mentions that you’ve only got 8 minutes of work yet, but actually it’s 4 x 2 minutes 30, which is 10 minutes, barring the 30 second recovery periods. Not sure whether that’s been reported already, due to this thread becoming quite long - I did try to search.
@ivan_TV:
1. From your Apple TV home screen select the “App store” app
2. Search for “Zwift” using the magnifying glass at the top-right of the screen
3. Click on the Zwift app, which will come up in the search results
4. You should there be presented with a button to update the app to v1.29.1
Fyi it sounds like you may have auto app updating turned off on your ATV. If so, and you’d prefer to have your apps update automatically, then do the following:
1. From the ATV home screen select the “Settings” app
2. Scroll down and select “Apps”
3. From here you can toggle “Automatically Install Apps” on and off
Cheers,
Brian
Hi Brian thanks for taking the time! The only way to get it to update was to delete and reinstall… Apple TV is on autoupdate but it doesn’t always have an internet connection which may be why it didn’t automatically update Zwift. But it seems weird still why Zwift wouldn’t give me the option to update manually when going to the Appstore like you said.
Also, Zwift has updated on its own in the past with other major updates so not sure why it didn’t this time. Maybe the lack of connection at a certain point just bugged it.
Hi
We use two ATV’s at home for Zwift although both on auto update rarely both do this. I use the instructions above to perform a manual update.
If you want the Zwift update immediately, you will typically need to manually update. Otherwise, it can take up to a few days before it auto-updates, assuming auto-updates is turned on.
Due to all the setbacks will zwift postpone the end date to complete the finish line ride?
No on screen prompts for final ride. I did my final ride today and again I didnt get any prompts, neither id I see where the segments were. I just rode blind. The same thing happened during my baseline ride…
Additionally it was so glitchy today. My Wahoo Kikr dropped out twice…Zwift kept saying “connection lost”
Just finished academy .I done the baseline at first day when everyone complained about draft effect and other niggles .My times ended alot slower than baseline but alot better than my pb from same segments before .Dont think it reflects very well on the program as the baseline has given false times .I know im going alot better irl from doing it .Probably better if id done baseline again
Would it not be worth extending the Academy end date by a week, due to the chaos at the beginning?
At my current rate, I will only just be able to do the Finish Line ride by Sunday, the last day.
ZA been a disaster again, exactly the same as last year, plagues by problems. Definitely needs to be extended until they fix all the issues. I’ve completed workouts 2,3,4 and 5 but not received credit for them. At this rate ZA will finish before they fix the problem and give me the credit. Hopeless.
I did the Finish Line ride yesterday and managed to better all my PRs. I’m not ready to dismiss the psychological aspect but it probably does indicate that I learnt something about myself by doing all the workouts.
I got the final email today. My phenotype hasn’t changed. It still reckons I’m a Sprinter but I reckon that’s just because I’m at a slightly higher percentile on that segment.
It’s been good fun. I enjoyed the group workouts, even though it took me a while to understand how ERG mode works.
It has made me more certain to follow another workout programme over the Winter.
My usual bike in Zwift is the Canyon so the new paint job is very much appreciated.
Other than the delay in getting out the Baseline email, it has all worked just fine.
Big thanks to all at Zwift.
I just got e-mail with my results from the finish line ride and they messed it up. I got exactly the same numbers (w/kg and percentiles) which is simply not true as on the short segment I did 804 watts compared to 710 watts during the baseline ride. Medium and long segments were not that much stronger but still they would change the w/kg and the percentiles (probably). I didn’t change weight since signing up.
Same as Maciej in my finish-line result e-mail. Same w/kg in all 3 segments as I got for the base-line ride.
Hope Zwift acknowledge this problem soon and fix it.
I feel a bit too many issues in this academy.
Absolute joke again from the ZA this year - messed up the baseline ride and again with the finish line ride - I knocked loads of time off my baseline ride yet was give exactly the same stats as the baseline so have no idea how I actually improved - Zwift need to fix this - I think a lot of Zwifters will be voting with their feet after this years ZA - I know I am considering leaving and I usually love doing the ZA but this has put me right off Zwift altogether !!!
Hi James,
Sorry for the frustration here.
Whilst it doesn’t fix the issue that you experienced, if you use Strava you should be able to see your segment times.
I’ve not received any emails from completion of baseline & finishline rides and all the workouts is this a known issue ? I have checked my settings and all email notifications are checked including Zwift academy
Is there no chance of extending the finish line rides? I have one more workout (6) and the finish line, but I can’t see any more finish lines as the planned ZA period has passed.
Sorry no, the academy has finished.
You could do workout 6 from the standalone workout menu and then do a lap of Legends and Lava and see how your segment times are.
