Ran watopia stage 1, I did not get a result instead it just said ZP. What does that mean?
Zwiftpower is essentially not active for runners.
The results are meaningless.
Iāve run it twice, the first time I got a result, the second it said āZPā. The only reason I even noticed was the fact that I was checking a ride/race result. As @Run.10K.Every.Day says ZwiftPower for runners is meaningless
The reason you got a ZP is because you finished in the top three on ZwiftPower and were not on a āPowerā type.
This has been an ongoing problem with TOW for several years now, many other threads covering same issue.
@Run.10K.Every.Day (and @James_Zwift sorry to bother you but see you are visiting forum again) but I wonder if this would be āeasilyā rectified by removing the No ZPower winners restriction from the events?
@run.10k.every.day is not a Zwift member of staff.
I tried on Friday to change the rules for the TOW events, which I guess didnāt work and I donāt have time at the moment to fix all events individually.
I know ( but thought he might have some influence !)
And thank you for trying.
I wouldnāt worry about fixing them @James_Zwift.
The results for runners on Zwiftpower really do have little or no bearing on anything.
Racing for runners is a non starter given the lack of verifiable results.
Youād be spending a chunk of time for nothing.
Iām not sure that is quite correct and Iām sure finishing positions are quite important to quite a lot of runners.
Maybe there are a few but Iād say those that care are in the minority.
Most runners are here for their own fitness target and many are here for the community.
Most arenāt interested in racing as running is about pace alone, thereās no benefit to be lighter or heavier, course selection is irrelevant and thereās no drafting in order to use tactics.
If you tried to enforce categorisation on running races youād probably end up racing 1 or 2 people at best.
I think you are trying to compare Zwift cycle racing with Zwift run races. I agree they are not the same.
TOW is a fun run but Iām sure the OP would rather see a finishing position than a ZP.
I donāt fully know how ZwiftPower works but Iām fairly sure that with the correct event settings the ZP need not be applied as it is not being applied in past TDZ or most group runs.
Setting up events manually takes too much Zwift staff time, making changes takes even more time and James and others have plenty of more important things to do.
Even though ZwiftPower is likely to be redundant at some point in time I just feel that right now the results of TOW could be more meaningful and certainly less meaningless for top three finishers.
I think they are fixed for current events?
Iāll do a simulation to test.
Why? The latest results are fine.
Thank you
Apols, the question mark at the end of your post had me thinking you needed it checking.
No worries.
