WTRL - now part of Zwift?

Totally agree, was just pointing out that they were partners and well deserved at that.

Agree with all you other points too.

I don’t expect them to be open either. But they are aware that for (multiple days) a third party had a website up to gain access to user profiles, which at least include account names for payment services. They should do the sensible thing and warn their users and tell anyone to immediately change their passwords if they have used it on any third-party site, including sites of Zwift partners.

What’s so frustrating, as I’ve said before, is this is the easiest thing to rectify ever. A mistake was made. So what! Own it, fix it, move on.

Digging themselves a hole so deep they’ll be interrupting GP Lama’s ride soon enough.

Totally agree, but it’s sometimes handy to have someone willing to keep the big HQs honest by reporting the bad news and not just getting paid content all the time. Not a job for Zwift partners though.

It’s probably one for CyclingTips or road.cc that are happy to take independent stances on these things. I’ll look in to it tomorrow assuming this current situation isn’t rectified.

I think Daren sums up the situation well.

My personal concerns are the unfounded accusations made - which now appear to have once again been removed from the thread - and also the future.

Those of us unfortunate enough to have been excluded from WTRL FB pages and (albeit temporarily) banned from the WTRL racing platform - what hope do we have of interacting with those same people who took these unreasonable actions in the future on any issues at all.

For those of us as team managers and captains this presents an issue. Will other racers in our teams face injustices and issues because we are “marked” individuals?

Zwift is silent on the issue which is worrying. Especially as it is “their” race series.
WTRL is less silent as most of the affected remain banned from the FB groups, so we can only conclude there is still an issue with us specifically, or surely that would have been reversed as well.

I do hope @Mark_Cote is able to give some response to these concerns fairly quickly.

While the security concerns have been mostly addressed, the reaction to legitimate concerns from Zwift customers by WTRL has not.
A public apology is warranted as both parties were involved in unfounded accusations of bullying. If none is forthcoming there could be an undercurrent of growing animosity towards WTRLs handing of ZRL as a result.

Sorry guys but if you expected anything better you’re really quite naive as to how corporate USA works.

Maybe this is it - a US culture thing. It just wouldn’t fly in the UK.

Good news is, the Zwift Power SSO is actual SSO and it works.

It is - privacy concerns are not considered important in the US, certainly not to the extent we do in Europe.

Not my sphere of expertise but I’m pretty sure that what WTRL did makes them - and Zwift by association - criminally liable in Europe.

Nice. :+1: Whoever coded it probably needs to have a chat with some of their colleagues.

Hilariously I haven’t been logged out by the change!

I tried it on another computer and the login does redirect to a proper Zwift powered SSO solution.

But I was shocked that everyone wasn’t logged out by the changes.

Yep, worked for me too. Although it didn’t detect I was logged in when I went to my.zwift.com first.

I was kinda hoping it would work like the SSO at my workplace. Once I’m signed in somewhere, I’m signed in everywhere.

Still, definitely a much smoother process than the old sign-up hoops - and I suppose it’s actually a benefit this way for when I want to sign into one or the other with a different account. =)

probably makes little difference, cookie will have kept you active in your current logon with no need to re-authenticate until it expired.

hook me up zwift

I just thought with it being a new system the old cookies/tokens would have been invalidated. Just pleased the new system is a legitimate SSO solution.

And look what happened to them…

Facebook is just as bad too

In addition to the WTRL account creation work, we have investigated the points that several Zwift members had WTRL access suspended. We understand that WTRL has suspended access to WTRL owned social media groups for a few individuals but all should still have full access to WTRL.racing, are still on their teams, have access to RacePass, can see results, and can sign up for WTRL events.

WTRL moderates its owned channels independently of Zwift but we have agreement that no individual or team will be prevented from taking part in the Zwift Racing League.

If you’re still experiencing an issue with your WTRL login, please DM me or contact WTRL directly at racecontrol@wtrl.racing.
