Exactly the same for me. That was a great plan and the new one is very boring and stale in comparison and doesn’t really do anything useful. I also want to reinstate the 4-week FTP booster plan. I’ve tried following the instructions but also can’t get it to show up.
@manda_F …please can you see my comment from the other day and respond?
Thankyou
I’d like to have the new workout screen a bit more informative. If I hover over the Workout steps, informations about the watts and time would be great like it was in the old workout screen.
Yeah, I find I’m really missing the ability to see the exact watts and lengths for segments within a workout when selecting one. I really wish those did not get removed. Sometimes the lines they use to give a magnitude (FTP etc.) don’t line up with the majority of the blocks, and differences in 10W in a segment can really make a difference in how hard the workout will be depending on how big the blocks are etc…
I wish what they did with this release was:
- Introduce the new categories (Endurance, Sweet Spot, Threshold, VO2 etc.) - this was good!
- Maintain the hover/select functionality on the workout details screen - removing was bad!
- Put legacy plans in a sub-category (if they needed to clean up the UI as part of the refresh rather than just deleting them).
- Add the ability to favorite a workout, and maybe a folder for most recently used workouts
- Add the ability so search or filter via a search term across all workouts
- Do a better job of adding workouts to the new categories (there aren’t many long endurance workouts in endurance at all, there aren’t many traditional simple threshold workouts in the threshold category, the popular SST Short/Med/Long aren’t in the sweet spot category, and the gorby isn’t even in the VO2 category etc.).
Agree. Less clicks makes for the elegant solution.
“Put them on GitHub and crowdsource the renaming work? Maybe there should be a community supported workout repository. People could also correct other mistakes in the workouts and everyone benefits.”
This is a good idea. I just made custom 2 hour z1, z2 and z3 erg workouts, since there were not 2 hour options in the standard workouts. Not a big deal, but it would be helpful to offer them out to others - ideally in a way that bypasses some of the limitations on making custom workouts previously mentioned. I foresee a repository of crowd sourced workouts (brief descriptions, standardized sub groups). It would also give aspiring coaches an opportunity to present their approaches.
Agree. I have to scroll back from week 12 to find my next workout. The next workout pops up in the Companion App and on the laptop, but not ATV.
Exactly my experience !
The user experience on Apple TV is quite poor.
I’m sure Apple engineers are rolling on the floor laughing.
Since Zwift has changed the overview of training plans it became kind of useless to me. The information I need to start a structured training - like intervals - should include duration and wattage of each interval. In the past one could just tap on the screen and saw how long and hard it gonna be. Now, you only see some percentages of of zones. Doesn’t make sense to me. ZWIFT please include those essential information!
You can still use the old view with watts.
Hi, may I get a new route badge during making a training sesion, not a free ride?
thx
Yes you can do that.
By the way, did you know that the intervals in this workout alternate between 95 and 86% FTP?
Sweet spot is usually defined as 88-94% FTP. So, neither of the intervals there is at sweet spot. And the workout name makes no mention of over/unders.
This isn’t aimed at you, it’s directed at Zwift.
