What's the deal with robopacer route changes not showing up?

At 00 UTC (horrible choice for NA cyclists) you change robopacer routes. The problem is that the new route doesn’t show up, even after 40 minutes waiting, logging off and back on, even rebooting the equipment, the new route doesn’t show up, so all the routes listed are only half of the actual ones active.

Case in point, 12/31/2024 6pm CST Jacques switched from Volcano to Tempus Fugit, but the new route never showed up on my screen, even now at 6:41p CST, only the existing Makuri island route that was active. In fact where I should be able to see two routes for each robopacer I only see one, so you’re only showing me half of what’s available.

Now as a user try to figure out how I’m going to get to Jacques in Tempus Fugit…yeah, not gonna happen, there’s no way to find this unless you just pack your butt along the shoulder and wait…and maybe you’ll see them.

Really tired of this happening.

This is not the first time that the route change took away robopacers and replaced them with nothing. It’s disappointing that the one thing so many count on can’t be provided with any consistency.

If I’d known that they were having issues I would have ridden earlier, but Jacques had been riding Volcano flat now for so long I waited until the change so I could ride Tempus Fugit instead, which resulted in no ride because the robopacers never returned at 00 UTC…none of the Watopia robopacers were available, and honestly the other routes do kind of suck.

This kind of failure is really unacceptable when you’re charging people for a service.

You didn’t ride at all because the group you were waiting for didn’t show up?

I’m sure it was devastating, traumatic, and heartbreaking all at the same time.

The 00 UTC route changes never happened, none of the Watopia robopacers showed up when they were supposed to. All of the routes that were supposed to change went away as expected but their replacements never became active. I waited for Jacques or Genie to show up until 7p CST and when they didn’t show I just gave it up.

I even went into Watopia and tried to teleport to a robopacer and it said there weren’t any active.

Those routes were running today but I got no explanation from Zwift about why they didn’t show up when there were supposed to.
