What Happened To My Training Plan Progress?

Hi,

It’s incredibly frustrating when your progress gets lost, especially after being assured it’s fixed. As a data enthusiast, I understand how valuable that information is. Zwift should prioritize reliable data management to avoid disappointing their dedicated users.

Just my two cents… if you really want a serious training plan:

a) subscribe to TrainerRoad, and run it dually with Zwift
b) or convert the plan’s workout to “custom” workouts, and keep track of the plan by numbering each workout out or outside Zwift

Could this be pushed out to running plans please?

Lost my progress too. 5 weeks into the 6 weeks FTP Builder. The nerd in me is screaming …
20 Bucks per month … Just saying

Today I was going to start the final week of the 12 week Back to Fitness plan, except it’s disappeared from my companion app and when I search for it it seems I am no longer enrolled.

To say I am fucked off would be an understatement.

Issue still seems to be a thing in 2026. We have 2 accounts, both were in the middle of the “build me up plan”. In both accounts the plan disappeared today.
I really hope this is a joke: “Training Plans still need to be completed within a specific time frame, and will end automatically. Plans cannot be paused or resumed.”

We are both very busy in our RL and do workouts whenever our time allows.
Having to complete a plan within a specific time frame is unacceptable and makes us question our choice to subscribe to zwift. We are not professionals, nor do we need more “gamification” and motivation.
We got no notification, no message warning us of time limits or expiration dates.
Hopefully Zwift reconsiders their decision about time limits of workout plans or this is simply a bug and false information.

I believe the time allowed is the number of weeks in the plan, plus two more. Training Plan FAQ

Thanks for the info. This is even more frustrating as this info is crucial and should be a big disclaimer when subscribing to a workout plan.
For us this removes the ability to use plans effectively as we cannot make sure we finish them in time. For time limits we fall back to our real life jobs  We don’t need this on Zwift.
We absolutely see no reason why there would be a time limit unless you have professional ambitions or other reasons for that extra bit of pressure. We have simply not the time for it to finish them in time.

This reduces the product “zwift” to single workouts and loses lots of value for us as the workout plans helped us a lot.
Very disappointing decision by zwift. :frowning:

You can start the plan again and skip ahead to wherever you were. There are other options for training as well, such as following the Next Up recommendation, or using a third party adaptive training app that is integrated with Zwift such as Xert, which has a 30 day free trial if you want to try that, or JOIN.cc which has 30 days free with an affiliate link (this one might work). TrainerRoad is also popular, though I’m not aware of any free trial, just a money-back guarantee.

I suppose the counter argument is that a “plan” is only an effective plan if it’s followed? If you abandon it and stretch it beyond it’s thought-out perameters, then you’re no longing following it.

Here’s the structure of the plan. You can follow it through if you want. All you’re going to miss out on is a badge and some confetti

They kept telling me that they had it fixed, but no matter what I did I never did get my progress back, which irks me to no end. The data nerd in me wants to scream at Zwift for messing up all that data.
