Wattbike or Zwift?

Wattbike Atom or Zwift Ride?

Contemplating selling my Atom and buying the Zwift Ride, anyone else made the move or thinking about it? £100 off at the moment which makes it more appealing

I have never ridden a wattbike but have owned a kickr core and now a v5, which ultimately turned out to be a non noticeable upgrade. Why would you want to change? If I ever were to get into indoor cycling again with the knowledge of today, I’d just get smartrollers again, no kickrs, no expensive fans (maybe not even any fans, heat adaptation for the gainz), no kickr climb but I would buy the zwift play controllers again, as the fake wahoo desk and most definitely a sweat protector for my bike

Hi @_BEEF_XCR, welcome to the Forums!** I’m Francisco from Zwift Support.

It’s always important to consider how your equipment aligns with your needs.

The Zwift Ride works seamlessly with the Zwift platform, if you’re someone who enjoys a fully integrated experience, this might be something to keep in mind. That said, it’s still a great option, and many users have found success with it.

Another significant advantage of the Zwift Ride is its 5-year warranty on the frame, which is fantastic peace of mind. This really stands out, as the warranty is a great safety net in case of any issues down the line, the coverage for the frame is something to definitely consider, especially if you’re looking for long-term durability and reliability.

If any issues arise with the frame, handlebars, or any other mechanical aspects, we’re here to help sort things out for you. It’s not just about making a purchase; it’s about ensuring you have ongoing support.

At the end of the day, it’s all about finding the right fit for your riding experience and what you value most.

Thanks for the information Fransisco. You state that the frame has a 5yr warranty, and the rest of the set-up? I’m a heavier rider at 125kg (or 275lb)

Why consider the switch? I bought my Wattbike Proton in December, made a start with Rouvy and have since switched over to Zwift. The ability to seamlessly use different software but have the same solid rig is amazing, I love it.

Hi @_BEEF_XCR

This is Haziel from Zwift. Thank you for reaching out and sharing your interest in the Zwift Ride! I know how important it is to have all the necessary information before making a decision.

As mentioned previously, the Zwift Ride Warranty Period is 5 years from the date of the original purchase, giving you long-term peace of mind.

For other components besides the Zwift Ride Frame, the Warranty Period for the Limited Warranty is 1 year in the US and 2 years in the UK and EU (please check local warranty periods for exact durations in individual EU countries). This warranty doesn’t apply to any products purchased outside of these countries.

I recommend taking a look at this article Zwift Limited Warranty and Return Policy), for more information about the warranty.

I hope this helps, and if you have other questions, please contact us
