Im trying to decide which trainer as my first to buy.

I have the options for the Wahoo KICKR CORE Zwift One with cog and the Elite DIRETO XR with cog as well and 2 months of zwift ( on direto )

im reading for some problem with direto xr erg problems with zwift

I have found both at 500 euros , which one should you suggest to buy ?

Thanks

Hello, did you get it and I’m wondering which one you preferred? I have a kickr core and I may return it because of the rubbing noise. While I was researching the elite direto xr, I came across a topic and wanted to write.

Since i didn’t find elite direto xr the price i wanted i have for 6 days now the kickr core with cog and to be honest im enjoying it so far , i don’t know what noise you are referring to but mine is quite smooth and quiet

Could you please watch my YouTube video link? I am not allowed to share the full link, you can watch it if you paste it to YouTube. This way, I can understand whether the sound I hear is a normal sound. I’m tired of dealing with this for a few days. When I stop pedaling, there is a periodic grinding sound coming from behind saying “dirt dirt dirt”

i have watched and i think this is normal , i think it does the same to me when i stop pedaling and i have my normal bike with flat bars on it

Thank you very much

I believe that’s just the sound of the KICKR Core’s freehub.

I could see that being annoying, sounds like something is rubbing or “hitting” on a certain point in the rotation, and if you can feel that through to the pedals, def do not think that should be normal.

I received feedback from five people, including the person who started the topic, and four of them confirmed that the sound is not normal and that their trainers do not make such a noise. You’re saying the same thing as well. I returned my trainer yesterday and will purchase the Elite Direto XR. Thanks for the feedback.
