Vortex Smart questions

(Graham Berridge PCC - ZHR (F) - (B)) #1

Just a couple of queries; I have a Tacx Vortex Smart, firmware upgraded. When connected to Zwift resistance is fine, but when I stop pedalling it takes the bike anything from 3-8 secs to stop? Any solutions.

When connected to a PC I have BOTH ant dongle and the Tacx USB in my laptop- do I need both?

I’ve never thought about the bike taking time to stop when I stop pedaling. Are you talking about your Zwift avatar on screen? It’s not unlike coasting when you stop pedaling outside.

No, you don’t need the Tacx USB. I use just an ANT dongle on a USB extension cord laying down near the crankset of my bike.

If you are going downhill, it can seem to take forever to stop. Going uphill, it will stop right away. Just like real life
