Unlocked Trek Emonda loop - Can't save activity

On Android, Dec 2022 update, Samsung Galaxy Ultra S20. Android 13, One UI 5.0

I unlocked the Trek Emonda half way through my activity today and every second the achievement popped up to tell me this. While it was annoying, I just powered through (pun) to the end. When I got to the summary and save activity screen, the achievement pop up was still happening which is preventing me from saving my activity.

Shall I just close the app and can the activity be recovered?

Looking at the small ride images it look like you lost internet connection while riding.
