Unknown person’s activities appearing in my Activities fees

Hi

Since last week an unknown person’s activities are appearing in my Activities feed. I have no idea who they are or why their rides are appearing. I don’t follow them. No clue who they are, and as they seem to ride several times a week I’m spammed by activities from a person I don’t know from rides I didn’t do!

Am I being daft and somehow I have followed someone? I am the only person using my account.

“click” or touch their picture, go to their profile, upper right of screen, click the 3 dots, you can unfollow or block them… problem solved.

Thank you - any clues how they got in the list?

I presume I must have done something but I had no idea about clicking profiles etc so I can’t see how I could do this unknown person randomly!

Appreciate the quick help! I though my password might have leaked…

they probably just followed you, I believe thats all it takes for their stuff to show up in your feed, you can make your profile private so you have to approve follow requests.

Huh I thought only people I follow show up in the feed

I think there have been some other reports of seeing random strangers in the feed but assumed those were bugs

(edit… found one Need help in ZC)

I honestly don’t know… I pay zero attention to the activity feed on the companion app

Thanks Paul, that post you linked sounds like what I see.

I am not a power user of Zwift, Had no idea there was even follower functionality and I just tried to add a random user and it has a few steps so it seems almost impossible to do accidentally as you have to click a name and then go to the top … menu I never knew was there before either!

On the end of ride report, it’ll list the riders you’ve ridden with. Clicking those names will follow them I think.

After many attempts to garner help from Support which went no where…I was able to remedy the same issue by intentionally following the rider and then, immediately un-following.

Hey @Andy_Drake and @Soggy.

Shuji at Zwift HQ here. Thank you for your reports. We’re investigating.
