Could you send your Web editors on some basic accessibility training?
Only 16m? I have nearly 30m and have purchased nearly every bike available in the drop shop.
It’s fine - I don’t mind having those drops, just means I can buy immediately whatever new bike gets released in the drop shop. That’s the pay off for lots of riding.
Hey guys,
We don’t have a “spend all your drops day” planned but we do have a few new things coming in the next months worth investing those drops in. Your notes are well heard and creating meaningful things to invest drops in is part of our near term updates!
Mark
Please let it be more socks.
Or gloves.
That would be awesome.
Could we buy some way to either archive or get rid of all the useless kit and bikes we get whether we want them or not? I have about 70M drops and would spend pretty much all of them to avoid going through pages of kit/bikes every time I want to make a change.
I’d like to buy XP with drops please. Something nominal, but still fun like 1 million drops = 1000 xp. Or a physical t-shirt.
The exchange rate is 20,000 XP = 50,000 drops so let’s allow that to be exchanged in reverse, at least up to where people should be based on their total accumulated XP. Two birds with one stone, addresses the banked XP nonsense along with making drops useful for something.
We have tried it. We have explained it. We have made very interesting suggestions. Only Zwift still hasn’t understood it. Get rid of the complicated nonsense. Who is supposed to read all this? It’s illogical and not fair. Get rid of it!
I wish all drops expired on Dec 31.
Zwift could release some new frames or wheels on Jan 1.
Who knows, drops inflation could become a thing .
And how exactly would that help and what good would it achieve? And what about the folk who don’t ride very often on Zwift - how would they get the desirable fast frames and wheels if their drops got reset all the time.
I guess it’s just another of those “throw an outrageous idea out there” to get a reaction.
Well, it would introduce a renewable gaming feature using current game attributes.
There are thousands of users that have more drops than they can use.
I’m not sure how to approach those that don’t Zwift much.
If they don’t Zwift much, they probably don’t pay dues very much either.
Zwift needs to keep putting carrots out for the regular users.
Do you go to many parties Chris?
They could put a big all at once and put me whete I belong with my Xp after 8 years.
Resetting drops, just like resetting XP and “banked” schemes is hardly a carrot. You’ve been here long enough to see how many people are furious about things like that being removed.
That kind of thing is not funny.
As a very regular user I would prefer new routes and expansions to existing worlds.
For the people that want a drops reset, give them a button in their own profile “Reset drops” and let them reset their own account. How’s that for a carrot?
So does that mean you’re not going to put people at the level that they have earned?
More is good but drops and XP aren’t the same.
I accumulate XP and having them is good.
Drops are meant to be used.
People accumulating vast sums of drops with nothing to spend them them on is a failure.
Maybe have some group ride or races that we pay entry fees in drops.
Have certain routes that are toll roads, pay drops to ride and have equipment upgrades or paint schemes.
I would just like to use the drops somewhere.
I apologize for my snarky comment.
I usually agree with you.
I’m hoping there will be more things to spend drops on soon, not just bikes and wheels.
Zwift showed years ago that components could be changed independently with the Ceramicspeed mission. Can we get the OSPW back and put it in the drop shop?
Many different groupsets are modelled in zwift, can we have them in the drop shop and choose whichever one we want for each bike?
Whether they’re purely aesthetic or make small changes to the performance doesn’t bother me.
Hello. You’re probably tired of discussing the leveling up methodology, but something seems off to me. Hoping you can clue me in.
I’ve been on Zwift for about eight years, and currently at level 73 with 15,500 miles. I’ve completed almost every route (the big one missing is, you guessed it, PRL Full).
I have a friend who is at level 53 with about 12,000 miles ridden. Seems she doesn’t focus on riding new courses. I guess this seems reasonable.
I have another friend on and off Zwift who started last year. This person has about 4,500 miles and is approaching level 60. How is that possible? This person has barely ridden many miles in comparison yet seems to be blowing through the levels.
I appreciate your insight. Thanks.
Difference is they have started off with newer level up requirements where as us old-timers had to crawl up to level 50, remain parked at level 50 for a long time then have our XP taken away from us (oops, banked) then “accelerated” to level 60 then parked for a while and then finally a level 60-100 stretch.
I was lucky I got to level 100 before any further changes were made.
I am theoretically at level 111 having looped the progress bar that amount of times since reaching level 100, and with almost 70,000km and 560,000m elevation and 79 days.
I didn’t particularly seek out double XP events or find hacks with 10x big XP bonuses on climb portals, I just rode when and where I wanted to.
Thanks Chris. This seems like an “everyone gets a trophy” situation to those of us that have shed the actual sweat “drops” to get where we’re at. In the end, I ride for the workout and to improve my IRL performance. Reaching higher Zwift levels is not my true goal. I have zero issue with having had to ride the miles to achieve my levels. But I’d would be lying if I said this isn’t seriously questionable on the part of Zwift and also frustrating. I have numerous friends on Zwift who have voiced the same concerns. In any case, we Ride On.
