[POLL] Power-ups

(Francois Coppex [X][Velosophe]) #1

Was curious about how users would rate the whole power-ups feature, or to put it short if on average users would like to have this feature at all in Zwift.

Imo one big challenge with Zwift is to create a realistic cycling environment, from physics to visuals. Power-ups represent a move from a serious training simulator to a computer game. And Zwift being a computer game is not the reason I will be using it. At least for me, Zwift is a tool aimed at helping to increase the training load during winter time and/or rainy days, pushing me harder in a realistic manner without having to get the right “power-up” in order to improve a given time (whether mine or someone else’s).

The link below provides a poll, whether you like the power-up feature at all.

I would suggest, if Zwift hasn’t done this already, to use some sort of analytics to answer this question.  Quite likely they have some server side logging to indicate when they are used and some trend may emerge.  Possibly they are popular at first and ignored later or their use correlates strongly with where people fall on the recreational vs racing spectrum of fitness.
