I am interested in the Zwift ride as my old road bike is starting to suffer on the trainer. Now my Direto is compatible seems like a good time to look more seriously. I note the Play controllers are now discounted however the Ride hasnt been with what i imagine are the same versions? I am a bit reluctant to pull the trigger on the Ride then see a discount soon after. Are there any discounts available about to soften this somewhat or do i should i simply wait for now?

I think the discount codes have always been for the complete bundle with the Kickr Core, not the frame by itself. What’s wrong with your old road bike? I wonder if a bit of bicycle service and switching to virtual shifting using the Play controllers would be sufficient, with less expense.
Hi Paul, Its just feeling the pain of sweat over a long period of time. Its an old Sensa alloy frame with early gen Tiagra. I run very hot on a trainer despite a good fan and i am lazy on wiping it down. The Ride feels like a good replacement now the Direto xr is updated to work with it.
The controllers on the Ride frame are built in to the handlebars and are quite different from the Zwift Play controllers.
