Personalized Recommendations Go Outdoors [May 2026]

We’re expanding Personalized Recommendations to help you get the most out of every ride—indoors and outdoors.

Zwift Companion now offers personalized recommendations for the days you want to get outside. You’ll get simple, effective outdoor ride suggestions to keep your progress moving forward, with guidance designed to build endurance and manage fatigue.

To view your outdoor recommendation, make sure you’re using version 3.82 of the Zwift Companion app, go to the Next Up card, and tap the :sun: (sun icon) to toggle to your outdoor ride.

Note: You can only flip personalized recommendations. Manually planned workouts or workouts synced from a third-party platform can’t be flipped.

Ride On.

Zwift Insider post about this release: Outdoor Rides Added to Zwift’s “Next Up” Recommendations | Zwift Insider

Zwift has no business sticking their nose into my real-world cycling.

I think you should be fine if you just don’t link your wahoo/garmin. Then they will continue to just see your indoor rides.

Pretty much this, it’s why I’ve never linked my outdoor rides for the xp, indoors and outdoors is completely separate…quite glad I got the recommendations disabled on my account

@shooj - In the example Zwift Companion App picture you posted for the Fitness Trends section, what is the bargraph with the blue dashed perimeter line for Saturday indicate? This was added to ZCA a few months ago and I have no idea what it means.

I’m not positive, but I think it means you have something scheduled on your calendar for that day.

@Nigel_Tufnel is correct, its an upcoming event you have joined or a ride you’ve added to your plan/calendar
