Definitely not a nice GPU but its poor performance is unlikely to be related to the stability problems. The issues with recent Windows updates affecting some Nvidia models in Zwift seem like a more likely reason to me. Since a used GTX 1050 Ti is very inexpensive and probably a drop-in replacement (available in versions that don’t require external power connectors) I’d be tempted to do that and not have to mess about with blocking Microsoft updates until those issues are sorted. It would also get Ultra profile and more reasonable frame rates.

Just an update. I purchased a used Dell GTX 1050 Ti 4GB and it was a direct drop in replacement after I uninstalled the previous drivers. Running full resolution now (nice) and will try out Neon Flats in a group next chance I get
