The party crasher rides are mostly fun. I don’t however think the addition of a ride leader works. Yesterday I started a ride in the D group and the ride leader said 2.8 wpkg but honestly he pushed out of the gate at 4-5 wpkg and dropped half the group. At this point if it’s going to be like this you should just make it a chase race with cats. Or just remove the ride leaders.
I think they are still fun.
I’ve been leading a couple of them while my pace 2.2-2.5 mostly has meant that firstly lots drop me and and the really fast chasers catch around half way sometimes. Basically just a big free for all with lots of little groups compared to a standard category controlled chase race it is different but i think it does allow more fun for all.
Especially new riders or those that would instantly get shelled out the back of a full on chase race. I run the Rhino Chase race on sundays and if you are not near top of the cat you are getting dropped fairly quickly then its a solo itt to the end. These party crashers allow a lot more riders to catch the beacon.
Only slight annoyance is the E chase pen don’t actually see the yellow beacon.
Plus as leader of these party crash races i try to keep people informed of distances of the chase and me etc.

I presume they are only in some of them. I did a Party Crasher ride yesterday as a D(inosaur) and we didn’t have a beacon.
They sure are. It also makes clear we need some hud improvements for chase races. Seeing who is behind/in front of me by looking on the minimap or the ZCA is a pain.
There should be something in the nearby riders panel to show what cat the riders are in a chase race. And not just show your own cat since when you are trying to escape the hunters it is of more use to also see them and how far they are behind.
most have leaders but there are some in the more unpopular time zones that don’t have a leader
I didn’t realise the UK was in an unpopular time zone! 
I did the 1pm ride, and we had 90 people in the group. No idea how that compares to evenings though.
There was a rider leader scheduled for that. odd can only assume something came up
9pm monday so a little late last night we have about 80s in D and 40s in E.
I suspect my next lead 7pm tomorrow will be busier
