I had severe performance issues with Zwift running on iPad Pro, which were completely resolved by simply removing iPad protective case. I wanted to share this experience with the community in the hope that it proves helpful for others facing similar performance issues.
iPad cases, designed for impact protection, often have low thermal conductivity, leading to overheating and subsequent performance throttling. To maximize performance, consider removing extra cover layers and, optionally, direct a fan towards the iPad for improved cooling. This optimization strategy can mitigate overheating concerns and ensure a smoother Zwift experience on your iPad Pro.
To enhance Zwift performance on iPad - remove the protective case from the iPad (thermal conductivity of aluminum is 1000 times higher than a thermal conductivity of a typical plastic). This solved all performance/stability issues I was having with Zwift.
