I believe that info applies to ARM64 devices running Windows, not Android. As far as I know the Shield could possibly run Zwift Android executables but I don’t know what if anything it’s missing aside from a published build. There have been reports from people who got the executable to run via sideloading, but then had other problems such as failed pairing.
Selfishly, I hope Zwift doesn’t add to their platform testing burden, since it’s already a major struggle.
This is a shame. I was considering getting a NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV to run Zwift but after reading this it seems a bit of a faff, and you dont get the true benefits of the Nvidia GPU. C’mon Zwift
Respectfully Simon, ROI isn’t there. So few people have this device it makes no sense for Zwift to support it.
If you want a standalone box, the ATV4K (2022 edition) is fantastic value. I’m firmly in the “Windows PC + Android” camp but Apple’s little hockey puck is an elegant solution for Zwift that already exists and is easy for Zwift Inc. to support as it dovetails well with iOS/iPadOS development.
