Tonight I was rarely required to shift at all (on either uphill or downhill sections) - I just stayed in the big ring. The watts increased as I climbed but I was able to increase cadence and just sort of power through the climb without shifting at all. It felt like it was in erg mode. Something just didn’t feel right on the grades.
During my previous sessions I had to shift out of the big ring on the longest climb. Anything I should be aware of?
What trainer are you using with Zwift? I ride a Cycleops Powerbeam Pro (smart) trainer and unfortunately Zwift doesn’t control resistance with this hardware at present. I can tool around the island in a 53-12 and struggle to get my HR and watts up into training ranges.
