it stays on trainer, there was no setup intructions for 8 cassette as its made for 9,10,11. didnt know what else i can do, but gears crunch like billyo when i change them to find my comfiest gear
Iâm no expert on this, but I would guess as the Zumo is designed for 9-11 cassette and you are using an 8spd cassette. The spacer provided will not have lined up the gears quite right. I would guess there is no problem in using the 8spd cassette, however you will probably have to adjust your rear mech so that it aligns properly and makes the gear changes nice and crisp. This may give you a bit of extra power and a much better ride.
Problem being you will have to reverse any adjustment when you put your wheel back on and venture outside.
Looking at your pictures, youâre in the largest chain ring up front (hardest gear) but youâre in an easy gear in back.
If you shift to a harder gear in back (smaller cog) and maintain a cadence of 80, does your power increase?
He says that heâs using a 1.85mm spacer though, which is the correct size for an 8-speed cassette on an 11-speed hub.
