Existing subscriber and had to replace my now broken motorola android phone with a samsung android. Zwift app and companion app successfully downloaded yet utterly fails when using zwift after 2mins … I have paired everything and still get no where. Any suggestions?

What is actually happening when you say total failure?
Describe what happens with each app.
I have reinstalled zwift and the companion app onto my new phone as last one destroyed. When I start a zwiftvride after pairing the zwift turbo and clicker it works perfectly in the warm up part of the ride. Once in the timed zones of any route the clicker stops working and no gear selections are available. I have now put a new battery intthe clicker but same problem. Oddly the account profiles show my former phone as the primary programme installation and I cannot get that to change to my new phone.
Just tested a total reload of software. I can use workouts without any problem but any zwift course route has to be in a single gear although before the official start of any route i can use the clicker gear changes. Do I need an activated for my new phone ?
Sorry my phone keeps auto correcting everything. Prior email should say do I need an activation code for my new phone. I only use my phone for zwift.

Are you saying you have the main app and the Companion app both installed on the same Samsung SM-A16 phone? If so - please try uninstalling the Companion app and that might clear up some of your problems.
Then: when you fire up the main Zwift app, the order in which you pair devices matters because you’re using the Zwift Click to effect your Virtual Shifts.
- Power: must be paired over Blueooth when using Virtual Shifting.
- Resistance: It may take ~15 seconds for the Resistance signal to appear. This is expected and normal over Bluetooth.
- Cadence: yup, Blueooth.
- Controllers: Also must pair over Bluetooth:
- Heart Rate: if using.
When done in this order, do all the signals pair as expected?
FYI - using the Companion app is optional - but if you do, it’s intended to run on a different device from the one that’s running the main app.
All Bluetooth resistance and clicker synch as expected and I can select gearing in the warm up zones on any zwift ride but once into my chosen route the gear selection is lost and I am stuck in whatever gear the zwift single cog turbo is using. I can use the workouts without hassles as they are watts based and you don’t have a gear selection in those sessions. I have deleted the companion app as it was on my Samsung phone along with the zwift app. Any suggestions as to what else I can do ?
