Sorry if I am being thick here, but my question is whether the longer version is in the updated game or the out of date game. I didn’t notice that information in this topic.
This is 1.119 version.
Just had my race finished and this bug still exists. (For multiple people in the lobby). So the background fix for older versions doesn’t seem to work or is it not applied yet?
Also maybe add this info in the event info ![]()
Gave everything to increase my ZRS today ![]()
What zwift say is, Monday days are beta if they good they stand if they go bad they are Remove/Deletion you have 6 days to make it up @James_Zwift @Paul_Southworth
That’s really not what I’m saying at all.
Despite this small issue, I’m quite certain that the sun will still come up tomorrow.
Further update from me.
We have applied a further fix which we are hopeful will fix this issue and I’m reviewing the 17:10 (UK) race once results are in to determine if it has been successful.
We are also going to invalidate all ZRS movements from the previous events as any of these would have been based on false placements. I expect this to happen within the next few hours.
Best I can tell from watching the event via the live tab on ZwiftPower, this seems to have worked.
I’ll review overnight feedback in the morning and will update again then.
For A,B,C results I still believe there are 1-2 riders with +2 minutes advantages which does not really make sense based on their power numbers.
I was watching the A group and noone appeared to finish at 18.4km.
Thanks, we’ll look into it.
If this is meant to be fixed, it’s not.
Riders finished at different points in this race tonight.
It is definitely still an active glitch. I just raced the 17:10 race, B rank. Winner finished 2 minutes ahead of everyone else with numbers that don’t reflect the result.
Have you considered telling the dev team you have a small change you need them to implement before the next release, and then judging the level of effort required by how agitated they become?
An ideal implementation would probably need to happen in both the launcher and game client, so probably a decent lift.
Same happened to me.
Joined the 17:10 event in the 470-560 racing score. My total distance is 20.4km vs the guys who “won” did 18.4km.
Checked my version and I used the 1.119.0 version (and no available updates).
Not too worried, as I just use the racing for proper training… but just to confirm that it does not seem to be resolved quite yet.
So version number has nothing to do with which length course you get?
Also.. why is this thread issue marked as solved?
i don’t really care about ZRS or GC. The route was a good racing layout.
My main question from all of this is how come it wasn’t picked up in the test environment?
Presumably the checklist after releasing a new route or scaled event is to push a number of bot rider accounts through the event to see what happens. Each time a new edge case pops up in prod add in a scenario that looks for it;
- Miss matched companion and game version
- Different bike types
- Finish line and distance count down are accurate
- All cats visible
- No positions
- Unrealistic speeds banded
- avatars going too fast
- Rear derailleurs have weight
- New bikes are performing as expected compared to lighter / more aero
- People follow the route
- People with emojis can go through the finish line
It sounds like the issue is others on an old client version who get the shorter route.
I thought you said you fixed the bug?
Restarted the game at least five times since yesterday, but was still demoted from 1st to 2nd this morning; with the replacement winner being about a minute behind.
