Mac Mini M1 8GB

Hi All,

Can anybody tell me for sure if the Mac Mini M1 8GB does the following…

a) Runs Zwift in true 4k?
b) Runs Zwift without glitches despite only 8gb of ram?
c) Includes rider shadows?

It’s good to keep in mind what you need for higher resolution and things like shadows to experiment with. Thanks for bringing up your question!

Based on Zwift new update

  • macOS: The Ultra graphics profile is now enabled for devices with the following chips: Apple M4 (all versions), M3 Max, M3 Pro, M2 Ultra, M2 Max, M2 Pro, M1 Ultra, M1 Max, and M1 Pro.
  • macOS: The High graphics profile is now enabled for devices with the following chips: Apple M3, M2, and M1.

If your Mac meets the minimum requirements for all other components mentioned in this article—not just RAM—it should run properly. Just make sure to close any unnecessary applications running in the background, as they can consume resources and negatively impact your gaming experience.

Regarding the shadows, we have this other thread here in our forum would be helpful.
