Kickr 6 reading low

I recently bought a new kickr 6 and the trainer is reading quite a bit lower than my assioma pedals (I have tested against 2 different assiomas with similar results). The differences are way out of tolerances (8% over 20 minutes for example - see screenshot of comparison). I have tried factory spindowns and no difference. I also tested with using the virtual gearing and manual gears and again no difference. I am going to log this with wahoo but I wondered if anyone else had similar issues and managed to resolve it.

For me the difference between my assiomas and the kickrv6 when I compare power curves is only about 2-3 Watt. But I find that my kickr is absolutely terrible at keeping a constant resistance in erg mode, the average power over a full interval is fine, but when I look at the live data (3s avg power) from my assiomas I see (and also feel) it’s constantly fluctuating hard (as in 20-30 Watts over/under).

Yeah previously (like over a year ago when I last took some reading) they were well within tolerances (ie the difference was around 1% across the board). Now they are miles apart

Hi @Matt_De_Freitas, welcome to the Forums! I’m Francisco from Zwift Support.

This definitely sounds like something Wahoo would want to take a closer look at. I’d recommend checking out their official support article on this topic: KICKR power data does not match another power meter or seem right. They explain how power accuracy can be influenced by several factors, both on the trainer and third-party meters. Hopefully, it helps as a reference while you’re logging the issue with them!

Thanks for posting.
