I have arc 750, still basic profile
Would you please ask devs to verify if the card is really added to ultra?
I have arc 750, still basic profile
Last communication I had with zwift support guys was that the Arc 750 would be added on the next major release.
No mention on when this would be.
But it is worth nothing this issue was highlighted more than 3 months ago, and the change should be a simple entry on a file.
If only there were some kind of expression that could be used in software to match a pattern in a string and support an entire family of GPUs. Maybe they could patent this idea.
Bump. Would you please pass the info to devs to add the arc 750 to ultra profile (contrary to what you said its still basic profile for this card)?
Today I tried the new 1.34 version.
And I’m happpy to say that I can finally get 4k graphics!
A related GPU which could/should be “added to the ultra profile” is the Intel Arc A770M. Please ?!
Thank you!
With Zwift Version 1.56.0 I get a massive drop in Fps for Intel Arc Graphics.
Running an PC with Intel ARC 770 it is now down from 60Fps in 4K Ultra profile a year ago to below 20 FPS,
even if barely any other rider is around.
Using an Laptop with both integrated Intel Iris XE Graphics and dedicated Intel Arc A370M Graphics -
Fps for Arc A370M is roughly half the value compared to Iris XE with the same profile and graphic settings.
Intel customer support states: “After thoroughly checking the system, it is not their fault. It looks as if Arc graphics are not supported by Zwift.
Everything is fine from our side”
And it seems it looks this way. All other games and things are running very well with Intel Arc.
Not the slightest glitch.
This would render Intel Arc graphics for Zwift’s current game version as not suitable.
Does anyone else experience this?
As of Zwift 1.55 and earlier (might see the update today?), running A770M graphics on a small form factor PC, I do see the ultra profile after requesting it (thanks Zwift!) but fps is in the 20-30 range most of the time, even at 1440 or 1080 resolution. Not sure what the bottleneck is, but not what I had hoped for! Would welcome any analysis or improvement!
The low fps value is nearly independed of any change in graphics setting, having riders around you or standing alone besides the road.
Like something is blocked or having a deadlock.
I don’t think the fps issue surfaced wit 1.56.0. If I remember right Zwift had a major software revamp same month ago.
This could be the starting point. Zwiftalizer 2.0 stores all the uploaded logfiles for eternity. Searching there for logs with Intel Arc GPUs
could reveal something more.
Having a dedicated graphic you probably have an integrated GPU too.
In Windows 11 you can explicitly set the graphic unit for each game.
Settings=>System=>Display=>Graphics:
Custom Options for apps: Add Zwift to list by browsing to and adding ‘C:\Program Files (x86)\Zwift\ZwiftApp.exe’
After it appears in the list select options for it to select the GPU. ‘Power Saving’ for integrated GPU or ‘High Performance’ for dedicated one.
Thanks for the pointer. The graphics setting did not seem to make a difference for me.
