Injury

I have an annual membership. I’m having an surgical intervention week 1 2025. I won’t be able to ride with zwift for 6 weeks.
What will happen to my racing score and ftp?

Unless you are paid to ride…I wouldn’t worry. Probably change two or three more time before you come back. Recover and be well.

For FTP, either retest when you get back or manually drop it by 10% or so.

Ok, thanks. But what with the racing score?

Your racing score won’t change unless Zwift decide to implement some further changes.

If the PRs that determined your seed score and floor values expire (after 90 days) then the floor could go down. That would only matter if you get a bunch of results that send you down to the floor.

I hope you are lucky enough to be racing again in that timeframe. Tour de Zwift will be on until 23 Feb so maybe you’ll have a chance to “race” some of those group rides if you’re feeling up to it. That would avoid any issues with your score since they’re not scored events.

Ok, thnx

I thought there was a decay built in? I think they slowed it down recently, but there was one built in originally, or was it removed completely?

The decay was removed completely, which is what I was thinking of in my response. But Paul’s point is a good one, and I wonder what happens if your activities age out completely.

It seems like that before the time the OP is recovered (but I hope that doesn’t take too long) there will be further changes. Maybe that will include looking further back for activies, which is something that Zwift have mentioned already.
